Proper electric, i.e. plug-in, cars are almost here. And about time too. Will they be worth the wait? I'm going to try and test-drive some in 2010 with a view to being one of the first in the UK to own and use one.
The front-runners at the moment appear to be Citroen with their C-Zero and Mitsubishi with the iMiEV. They are both basically the same car, just badged differently. The one I'm really waiting, and wanting, to see come to our shores is the Tesla Model S (arriving 2012?).
Question burning in my mind though - electric car or public transport by smokey diesel train?
